Zaina appointed as PCB member

Zaina Abdulla has been appointed as the newest member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), the Finance Ministry has announced.

Zaina Abdulla has been appointed as the newest member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), the Finance Ministry has announced. 

Zaina has over a decade of experience in the banking and finance sector, especially in corporate finance, Islamic Banking and SOE governance. 

She is presently working as the Head of Corporate Processing at Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB). 

Zaina has previously served as a Senior Officer at PCB. In this role, she monitored and evaluated SOE performance, reviewed financial statements, budgets and business plans, and played a key role in strengthening governance in SOEs.

Zaina holds a Masters of Islamic Finance Practice from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, Malaysia. 

Although the PCB Board must have seven members, the board currently has only four, including Zaina.
