Tree Top Hospital, in collaboration with Laamu Gan Regional Hospital and the Gan Women's Development Committee, has concluded a multi-specialty health camp in Laamu Atoll.

The two-day camp, held over the weekend, was organized to improve access to specialist healthcare services for residents living outside the capital. A total of 492 patients received consultations and treatment during the event.

Patients were seen by specialists in cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes care, ear, nose and throat (ENT) medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology. The camp also included health screening services and public health awareness activities.

In addition to patient consultations, a special session was conducted for students in Gan to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness about health-related issues.

A separate training programme was also held for nurses, focusing on professional development and knowledge sharing.

Tree Top Hospital said the event was the 18th multi-specialty health camp organized by the hospital.

Similar programmes have previously been conducted in Haa Alifu, Shaviyani, Meemu, Dhaalu, Thaa, Laamu, Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu atolls as part of efforts to expand access to specialist healthcare services across the country.
