One of the largest higher education fairs in the Maldives, the My Q Study Expo, is currently underway bringing together universities and education providers from across the globe.
Organized by education consultancy My Q Study, the expo opened on Friday and will continue until Sunday at Barceló Nasandhura.
According to the organizers, the event features representatives from public and private universities from a range of countries, including India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United Kingdom. Several participating institutions are ranked among the world's top 100 to 300 universities.
The expo provides students and parents with an opportunity to meet university representatives, explore study options and submit applications directly. My Q Study said students who enroll through the agency will also be able to access a range of support services, including assistance with university admissions, visa applications and travel arrangements.
Among the institutions represented at the fair is the hospitality and business management school operated by the Antara Group.
Attendees will have opportunities to apply to universities on-site and receive information on scholarships, accommodation and other aspects of studying abroad.
The expo is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Sunday. A separate university application event is also scheduled to be held at Brightway International School next Saturday.
My Q Study said it offers end-to-end support for students seeking overseas education, including visa assistance, accommodation arrangements, airport transfer support, medical check-up guidance, bank account opening assistance and spouse visa services.
The agency also operates a support team in the Maldives to assist students throughout the application and relocation process.
