Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has opened applications for four scholarships covering different levels of higher education.

In an announcement made on 9 June, the central bank said the scholarships include one undergraduate programme, two master’s programmes and one PhD opportunity.

The undergraduate scholarship is for a degree in Accounting at the Selangor Islamic University in Malaysia.

The master’s scholarships include a programme in Law at the Islamic University of Malaysia.

For the PhD level, candidates can apply under three study areas: Islamic finance (co-work and diversification), Islamic finance (research), and applied economics and finance. Successful candidates will study at INCEIF University in Malaysia.

MMA said the deadline for applications is 30 June at 2:00 pm.

Applicants can submit their forms through the MMA application portal, and further information is available via the official email address training@mma.gov.mv.
