Deadline for applications for Bank of Maldives (BML) Bank Fund will close next week.

Registered associations and clubs have until next Sunday to apply for funding under the BML Bank Fund, an initiative aimed at supporting sustainable community projects across the country.

The annual programme provides financial assistance to registered associations to implement projects in the areas of education, environment and sports.

Under this year's scheme, five winning proposals will each receive MVR 200,000 to carry out their projects.

The fund is now in its third year and forms part of BML's efforts to support community development and empower civil society organisations throughout the Maldives.

Commenting on the initiative, CEO and Managing Director of BML, Mohamed Shareef, said the bank believes sustainable development is best achieved through grassroots initiatives.

He said the fund reflects the bank's commitment to helping island-based associations transform innovative ideas into projects that deliver tangible benefits to communities.

Applications are open to all registered associations and clubs. Completed application forms and project proposals must be submitted via email to bankfund@bml.com.mv by 2:00 pm on 14 July.
