Tree Top Hospital's Fertility Centre is offering free fertility consultations this month as part of celebrations marking its third anniversary.
The promotion will run from June 13 to 17, with the hospital opening online registration for those wishing to participate. According to Tree Top Hospital, 130 individuals will be selected to receive free consultations under the programme.
The offer includes both initial consultations and follow-up appointments. However, patients requiring additional tests, procedures or treatment after meeting a specialist will be charged according to the hospital's standard rates.
The hospital said Aasandha and supplementary health insurance schemes cannot be used in conjunction with the promotion.
The "Free Fertility Consultation" campaign aims to raise awareness about infertility and encourage individuals and couples experiencing fertility-related concerns to seek medical advice at an early stage.
Tree Top Hospital's Fertility Centre was opened on May 29, 2023, becoming the first in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) centre in the Maldives.
The introduction of IVF services in the country has enabled many patients to access fertility treatment locally, reducing the financial and emotional burden associated with travelling abroad for care.
Over the past three years, the centre has recorded several milestones, including facilitating the birth of the first child conceived through IVF in the Maldives. The hospital also recently celebrated the birth of the 100th baby delivered with assistance from the centre's fertility services.
Tree Top Hospital attributed the achievement to the dedication of its specialist team and the confidence placed in the service by the public.
Services offered by the centre include IVF treatment, intrauterine insemination (IUI), fertility assessments and diagnostic testing, treatment planning and a range of reproductive health services.

Tree Top Hospital said it plans to continue expanding maternity and fertility services in the Maldives, with the goal of helping more families access advanced reproductive healthcare within the country.
