Dhiraagu named ‘Telco of the Year- Small Markets’ at Twimbit Telecom Awards

Dhiraagu has been named "Telco of the Year- Small Markets" at the Twimbit Telecom Awards 2026 in Singapore, a recognition of the company's performance in digital innovation, network development and customer experience.

The award was presented as part of the annual Twimbit Telecom Awards, which recognize telecom operators and technology providers across Asia for achievements in innovation, growth, customer service and digital transformation.

According to Dhiraagu, the category featured competition from telecommunications operators in emerging and small markets across the region.

Commenting on the award, Dhiraagu CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed said the recognition reflected the company's market position, operational performance and the trust placed in it by customers.

“This recognition reflects our sustained market leadership, strong performance, and the trust placed in us by our customers, made possible by the commitment of our teams,” he said.

Rasheed noted that the award comes during a milestone year for the company, which has expanded mobile and fibre broadband coverage to every inhabited island in the Maldives.

“As we mark a landmark year, with nationwide mobile and fibre broadband access in every inhabited island, this recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate a significant milestone in enabling inclusive access to opportunities and essential services throughout the Maldives,” he added.

Dhiraagu said it remains focused on supporting the country's digital transformation through investments in connectivity infrastructure, digital services and technology initiatives aligned with its vision of a "Digital Raajje".
