Ooredoo Maldives has marked Eid al-Adha by supporting a range of community activities across the country, aimed at promoting unity, joy and festive togetherness.
The company took part in several island and community-led events nationwide, joining residents in the celebrations and contributing to Eid programmes organized across Maldives.
In Male' and Hulhumale', Ooredoo staff distributed “boakiba” as part of its annual Eid tradition, continuing a long-standing gesture that celebrates the custom of sharing the sweet dish during Eid breakfast.
The company also distributed Eid “Hadhiya” gifts to children across Maldives, aiming to create moments of celebration and togetherness for families during the festive period.
Ooredoo additionally supported the Maldives National Defence Force’s Eid Ufaa children’s evening in the Greater Male' Region, contributing to entertainment and activities as part of the week-long Eid programme.
On Th. Kinbidhoo, the company supported the “Bodu Kunbus” tradition, where the island community prepared a giant traditional bread to be shared with all households as a communal Eid gift.
Beyond individual initiatives, Ooredoo also served as digital partner for several Eid celebrations across the country, supporting councils and NGOs in hosting community events. These include:
