Visit Maldives Corporation has said that they will be promoting Maldives and the cultural activities that will be held in the islands during the 2026 Eid al-Adha (Bodu Eid).
Visit Maldives stated that they will be showcasing the Eid celebrations that will be held in islands from Tuesday to Saturday on their social media platforms.
A special team from Visit Maldives will be at R. Meedhoo to document the activities. Visit Maldives has said that the purpose of the campaign is to show other countries that Maldives is rich in culture and to promote it.
While Visit Maldives will be sharing important information regarding Eid and its special activities, they will also introduce special traditional Eid activities such as the Bodumas parade, Maali parade and a Koadi Kendun to foreigners.
Managing Director of Visit Maldives Ibrahim Shiuree stated that it is important to showcase Maldivian lifestyle and promote Maldives.
"With this campaign, people from around the world will get to experience the true joy of Maldivian Eid, artistry and hospitality," said Shiuree.
Along with Eid-based videos and photos being shared on social media everyday during the campaign, arrangements have been made to film a special documentary. The documentary will be uploaded to Visit Maldives' YouTube channel in June.
