To celebrate World Immunization Week, Tree Top Hospital has conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session to increase awareness regarding the importance of vaccines.

Tree Top stated that the primary objective of the session was to share information about the vital role vaccines play in individual and community well-being.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Ahmed Faisal, Senior Consultant Pediatrician at the Health Protection Agency (HPA). During the session, Dr. Faisal highlighted the importance of vaccines for all age groups in protecting against life-threatening diseases. He also emphasized the necessity of achieving "herd immunity", where a large percentage of the community completes their vaccination, to defend against illnesses.

He also noted the issue of vaccine hesitancy and the importance of building public trust and increasing awareness.

In addition, the session touched upon the ongoing and potential efforts by state health authorities and various healthcare providers to expand vaccination services.

Dr. Alessandra Martino, Consultant Pediatrician at Tree Top Hospital, also shared information during the session. She spoke about the timely administration of vaccines for children and the significant responsibility healthcare professionals have in educating parents.
