Dhiraagu concludes 37th AGM, approves key resolutions

Shareholders approved a final dividend of MVR 8.70 per share, in line with the previous year. The total dividend includes an interim payment of MVR 1.66 per share made in 2025 and a final dividend of MVR 7.04 per share.

Dhiraagu has concluded its 37th annual general meeting (AGM), held at JEN Maldives Male' by Shangri-La.

The hybrid event was attended by a total of 265 shareholders, including 136 in person and 129 by proxy. All votes were cast through the ‘FahiVote’ online system developed by Maldives Security Depository Pvt Ltd.

Shareholders representing 74,240,990 shares took part, with all five proposed ordinary resolutions passed.

The approved resolutions include adoption of the directors’ report and audited financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025, approval of the final dividend, appointment of an external auditor for 2026, authorization for an interim dividend in 2026, and the election of Asiath Rilweena as public director until the conclusion of the company’s 39th AGM.

Dhiraagu highlighted several milestones achieved in 2025, including the launch of Maldives’ first Tier IV-certified data centre and expansion of facilities in Velidhoo, strengthening national digital infrastructure.

The company also achieved 100 percent fibre-to-the-home coverage across all inhabited islands, earning recognition from the government. It continued expanding its services, including unlimited fibre broadband, 5G rollout, and digital platforms such as cloud and cybersecurity solutions.

Dhiraagu further invested in international connectivity through its participation in the SEA-ME-WE 6 submarine cable system and a partnership with Google on the Dhivaru subsea cable project, aimed at enhancing connectivity and establishing a hub in Addu City.

The company reported revenue of MVR 2.8 billion in 2025, a 1.8 percent increase year-on-year. EBITDA rose by 1.9 percent to MVR 1.6 billion, while net profit rose up 0.4 percent to MVR 949 million.
