The Bank of Maldives' (BML) Employee of the Year Award was presented to the bank's Head of Business Systems (Technology Division), Misbah Abdul Rasheed last night.
The coveted award was presented to him in a ceremony that recognized the efforts of their employees.
BML stated that Misbah was presented the award due to his performance and his valuable contributions to the bank last year.

BML's Leadership Excellence Award for 2025 was presented to the Head of Property (Properties and Administration Division) Yuzna Naseem. Individual employees and teams were also awarded across the Outstanding Team Achievement, Project Excellence and Innovation Catalyst categories.

BML went on to say that the CEO's Award for Outstanding Achievement was also presented to the five staff who were pivotal in the bank's long term strategic successes.
The five employees are:
- Moosa Munsif Ahmed, Head of Strategy and Change
- Husham Saeed, Director of Technology
- Rashfa Jaufar, Chief Credit Officer
- Hassan Shaam, Chief Properties and Administration Officer
- Adly Ahmed Didi, Chief Information Officer
According to BML, the five employees have showcased themselves as examples of leadership in their strategic planning, enacting projects and achieving results, along with the fields they are working in.

BML also said that 38 awards were presented to staff for their commendable service across various fields.
Along with that, BML stated that awards were also presented to teams and employees across the Outstanding Team Achievement, Project Excellence and Innovation Catalyst categories.

BML's CEO and MD Mohamed Shareef spoke at the ceremony last night, saying that last year was their most successful year as of yet in their 43 years as a bank.
"This is not just a financial achievement. This is proof of the expansion of the bank's role in the progress of Maldives' economy. This success comes from the dedication, professionalism and ambition of our staff," said the MD.
