The "Ramadan E-Sports Festival", hosted by Ooredoo Nation and the Youth Ministry, has ended with great success.
A colorful closing ceremony was held at the Youth Hub. Youth Minister Ibrahim Waheed attended the ceremony as the guest of honor, with Ooredoo Maldives Managing Director and CEO Shadi Qawasmi and Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz in attendance as well.

The festival was held in an online and LAN format. This was done to provide a competitive environment for gamers across Maldives.
The festival had various gaming competitions, ranging from Tekken to EA FC, with them being held at the Youth Hub as LAN events. The PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitions were held online.

The EA FC competition had 20 gamers participate, with 16 gamers competing in the Tekken competition. 38 teams across Maldives competed in the PUBG Mobile and MLBB competitions.
The DGN Syndicate won the PUBG Mobile tournament, with second place being claimed by Gameover Reject and third place by LF Akazaya. The MLBB tournament was won by LNN SleepingForest, with Kalhu Oh Fummi in second and KUIS Vanguards in third.

MUG Yaaish won first in the EA FC tournament. Second was claimed by MUG Raaidh and third was claimed by Zameel. In the Tekken tournament, MUG Abaan won first, with KUIS E-Sports Thaabish in second and MUG Ashwan in third.

As per Ooredoo Nation, they had received warm applause from gamers at the festival, with the interest and skill for gaming in Maldives being apparent. They also said that they will work to provide more opportunities for gamers by working together with the Youth Ministry.
