Noorbaan appointed as CEO of Securities Depository

Noorbaan Fahmy has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Maldives Securities Depository (MSD). 

She was also appointed to the post of Chief Strategist at Maldives Stock Exchange (MSE). 

MSE said in a statement that effective January 1, Noorbaan has also been appointed as Board Director at MSD and MSE. 

The statement said that the senior management of the MSD and MSE has been changed to ensure administrative oversight through a transparent system and to elevant Maldives' capital market to new heights through modern technology. 

Noorbaan has pursued higher education in law and public management from the UK. She holds over seven years' experience in various high level positions at MSD and MSE. 

She has previously served as COO, Legal Counsel and Company Secretary. 

She also previously served as Counsel at Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA).
