The State Trading Organization's (STO) statistics have shown that their total revenue in 2025 had reached MVR 15.5 billion.
As per STO's statistics that were publicized today, this is an MVR 98 million increase from their revenue in 2024.
STO stated that as their sales had improved last year, their revenue and profits had increased, with them receiving MVR 910 million this year before taxes. After taxes, STO received MVR 762 million in net profits this year. This is a 3 percent increase from the year before.
As per STO's 2025 fourth quarter statistics, their total revenue in that quarter was MVR 4.1 billion. This is an 8 percent increase from the previous quarter.
STO said that the main reason their total revenue increased was because of improved business in all sectors of the company.
Their fuel revenue had gone up by 4 percent, with various other streams of revenue having increased by 19 percent.
With the spike in total revenue, STO had received MVR 671 million in the fourth quarter of 2025. This is an 11 percent increase compared to the previous quarter.
STO, one of the most successful public companies in Maldives, had their operational profits increase in the fourth quarter of 2025 by 11 percent compared to the prior quarter, with an amount totaling MVR 322 million.
Due to financing expenditure having fallen, they had received a net profit of MVR 276 million before taxes.
"This is a 20 percent increase when compared to the previous quarter. After taxes, we received a net profit of MVR 244 million," as was said by STO.
