Tree Top Hospital has revised the prices of some of its services, citing the need to maintain service quality amid the current economic situation in the Maldives.
The hospital said the revised prices came into effect on January 1. In a statement issued on November 27, Tree Top Hospital said the changes were introduced to “maintain world class healthcare quality” in response to prevailing economic conditions.
While the hospital did not disclose details of the revised pricing, it confirmed that fees for doctors’ consultations and some treatments have been increased.
Tree Top Hospital opened on March 1, 2018, in Hulhumale' Phase One, offering multi specialty services. Since then, the hospital has introduced 30 additional specialties, expanding into a full team of specialist and super specialist services.
“This essential step is being implemented to ensure the hospital can continue to deliver the highest caliber of medical expertise, cutting edge technology and patient centered care, while maintaining our commitment to providing world class healthcare close to home,” the statement said.
Tree Top Hospital CEO Dr Srivatson Sridhar G said the hospital’s mission has always been to transform the healthcare landscape in the Maldives and reduce the need for Maldivians to seek treatment overseas.
“To uphold our commitment to excellence - from complex surgeries to personalized care- an adjustment to our pricing structure is necessary,” he said. “This strategic increase ensures our financial sustainability and allows us to continue making vital investments required for pioneering healthcare and delivering superior outcomes.”
The hospital said it remains committed to providing safe, high quality services and continuing its efforts to deliver world class healthcare in the Maldives.
