Maldivian Airlines has decided to reinstate direct flights to Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka.
Island Aviation Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas said that they decided to do this upon the request of many people.
He went on to say that as tourists from Bangladesh have been increasing, so have products, which in turn has produced demand. And so, he said they decided to begin flights in March.
The direct flights to Dhaka, which there will be two of every week, will begin on 12th March, with the starting price for tickets being at USD 399.
Maldivian previously had flights to Dhaka, with them being halted since last May.
The Maldivian Airbus A320 will be used for the flights from Male' to Dhaka.
