Statistics from the Ministry of Finance and Planning shows that there has been an expenditure of MVR 80 million from the state budgets PSIP projects for the construction of police buildings and stations.
As per the statistics, projects related to National Security and Public Order saw PSIP spend the most on the police sector.
The second highest expenditure was for constructing court buildings, with project expenses reaching MVR 20 million.
PSIP budget spending for National Security projects reached MVR 109 million. Defense projects incurred an expense of MVR 1.4 million, with rehabilitation projects seeing an expenditure of MVR 3.6 million.
This year's budget saw spending for PSIP projects reach MVR 7.5 billion, with MVR 12.4 billion having been set aside.
The highest expense for a specific set of projects was for airport development, with MVR 3.2 billion having been spent for such projects.
As per next year's budget statistics, MVR 9.3 billion has been set aside for urban development projects and other projects, totaling 14 percent of the entire budget.
