Dhiraagu has launched its 2026 calendar, themed around the interconnectedness of marine life and the importance of protecting the ocean ecosystem.
The calendar aims to raise awareness about marine biodiversity, encourage respect for ocean life and promote public participation in conservation efforts for fragile species that play a vital role in the environment.

Each month of the 2026 calendar is dedicated to a different aspect of marine ecosystem restoration, featuring detailed illustrations of sea life alongside explanatory text in both Dhivehi and English outlining their ecological roles.
The calendar opens with a message urging the public to respect marine life and take part in conservation initiatives.
The calendar was launched by Dhiraagu’s chief executive, Ismail Rasheed, at a ceremony held at the company’s head office on Sunday. It was designed in collaboration with Visit Maldives’ Ocean Nation campaign for 2026.

Commenting on the launch, Dhiraagu’s director of brand and marketing communications, Mirshan Hassan, said the company seeks to ensure that each annual calendar carries a meaningful message for society.
He said themes are selected in line with Dhiraagu’s core values and corporate social responsibility programmes, noting that ocean protection is a key focus of the company’s CSR efforts. He added that the calendar aims to raise awareness of marine conservation.

Dhiraagu releases a themed calendar every year. The 2025 calendar was dedicated to the Maldives’ 60th Independence Day.
