Maldives National University (MNU) has launched an incubator programme aimed at strengthening productivity and business skills among its students.

The initiative, titled MNU Innovate Hub Powered by Dhiraagu, was introduced under a strategic partnership between MNU and telecommunications company Dhiraagu, and was formally launched at a special ceremony held at the university.

MNU described the programme as a significant step towards empowering young people and promoting youth productivity.

Under the partnership, Dhiraagu will provide financial and technical support to the incubator, including mentorship, participation as judges at pitch events, and the provision of high-speed fibre internet during the incubation stages.

The programme is designed to help students transform innovative ideas into practical and sustainable solutions through idea generation, mentorship and skills development, validation, and the development of market-ready products.

According to MNU, the initiative also aims to promote responsible and sustainable innovation in line with the university’s strategic goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The partnership reflects Dhiraagu’s commitment to youth empowerment, digital innovation and business growth in Maldives, with a focus on developing future-ready talent and contributing to national development in a sustainable manner.
