As more services move online and personal information is stored across multiple digital platforms, internet users are increasingly vulnerable to scams and data theft. Unknowingly clicking unsafe links or accessing malicious websites can expose sensitive information and lead to fraud.

To address these risks, Dhiraagu has introduced Dhiraagu Net Protect, a service designed to protect customers from internet scams and online security threats.

Dhiraagu Net Protect safeguards mobile phones from phishing links received through SMS and social media applications, as well as from unsafe websites accessed while browsing the internet.

When a user clicks on a link, the service alerts the customer if the website is unsafe before the page loads, helping to prevent potential harm.

According to Dhiraagu, the service detected more than nine million security threats in November alone, enabling customers to browse the internet safely. Powered by artificial intelligence, the service continuously updates information on emerging internet threats and dangerous websites, ensuring protection against the latest online risks.

The service is designed to support safe internet use for both adults and children. It can identify and block access to inappropriate content, allow only child safe websites, and enable customers to restrict or schedule access to specific websites based on their preferences.

Dhiraagu Net Protect is available to mobile customers for MVR 35 per month, while fixed broadband customers can subscribe to the service for MVR 50 per month.

The service can be activated via the Dhiraagu app, providing access to the Dhiraagu Net Protect portal where users can easily customize settings without installing any additional software or applications.
