Maldivian offers special Umrah flights over school holidays

National carrier Maldivian has announced special flights to Jeddah over the upcoming school holidays for those who wish to complete Umrah pilgrimage. 

Maldivian has scheduled direct flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia over the December holidays especially designed for families traveling to pursue Umrah pilgrimage. 

Three flights from Male' to Jeddah are scheduled for December 27 and 28. 

Return flights from Jeddah to Male' are scheduled for January 10, 11 and 12. 

Maldivian said the schedules ensure pilgrims get ample time in Jeddah to complete Umrah. 

Return tickets are priced at USD 750, with a baggage allowance of 45kg. 

To ensure seats, Maldivian urges that bookings be made ahead of December 20. 

The annual school holidays are set to begin on December 25. As per the 2026 Academic Calendar, the new school year will commence on January 27.
