Ooredoo Fintech Maldives has said that customers can now send money without any transfer fees to countries in Asia affected by recent cyclones.

Until the end of this month, Ooredoo customers can send funds instantly and securely via m-Faisaa International Money Transfer (IMR) to Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand at no additional cost.

The service, offered in partnership with MoneyGram, allows transfers of up to USD 10,000 per day directly from the customer’s mobile phone. Users can deposit money into their m-Faisaa wallet, complete the transfer digitally, and track the delivery status in real time.

Khalid Al Hamadi, CEO and Managing Director of Ooredoo Fintech Maldives, said the initiative reflects the Maldives’ close ties with neighboring countries and provides a quick and secure way for families and communities to offer financial assistance during difficult times.
