BML and AvasApp launch joint promotion

Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched a new promotion offering discounts and prizes for customers in partnership with AvasApp, the online platform that provides taxi and food-ordering services.

According to BML, customers who add their BML debit, credit or prepaid cards to AvasApp will receive a 15 percent discount on their first ride.

In addition, two customers and two drivers will be selected through a draw to receive MVR 250 gift cards.

The promotion began yesterday and will run until January 11.

Avas Enterprises upgraded its Avas Ride taxi app and relaunched it as AvasApp in January this year.

The company said at the time that Avas Ride, first introduced in 2019 by a young local team, was developed with the aim of transforming transport services in the Maldives.

Initially launched in Male', the service has since expanded to several parts of the country, with around 3,000 vehicles currently operating through the app.
