Bank of Maldives (BML) has recognized long serving employees.
The ceremony was held at Barceló Nasandhura, with awards being given for employees who have served BML for 15 years, 20 years, 30 years and 40 years. 43 individuals were given the award at the ceremony.
A special award was given to Chief Properties and Administration Officer Hassan Shaam, who has served BML for more than 40 years. An award was also given to CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef for 25 years of service to BML.

At the ceremony, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said that the reality of BML reaching such success can be attributed to their employees. He has also acknowledged the hard work of their employees.
"This institution sees success and stability due to the good characteristics of employees, the time spent at the institution, their skill and especially the passion they have in achieving the institutions "mission". And so, the reality of the bank reaching such success is because of all of you," said Shareef.
90 percent of BML employees are Maldivians, with the institution offering the most number of job opportunities in the finance sector. BML continues to conduct Professional Development Programs in order to raise the ability and skill of employees for them to climb up the career ladder. The bank also conducts various activities to acknowledge their employees' services.
