Former MP Jameel Usman appointed to MACL Board

Former member of parliament for Gemanafushi constituency, Jameel Usman, has been appointed to the Board of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL). 

MACL operates the country's main airport, Velana International Airport, as well as several domestic airports. 

Privatization and Corporatization Board stated that Jameel Usman, Hulhumale' Plot no. 10718, has been appointed to the recently added position on the MACL Board.

To improve administration and strengthen Audit and Risk committees, MACL's Board was recently expanded from seven to nine members. 

Following the dismissal of former Board Member Mohamed Riyaz (Let's Go Riyaz), MACL Deputy Managing Director Mujuthaba Latheef was appointed in his stead last month. 

With the appointment of Jameel Usman, there are now eight members appointed to MACL's Board. These are Chairperson Aisha Nurain Janah, MACL Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, Saha Waheed, Ibrahim Siyad Gasim, Mohamed Mihadh, Ibrahim Mahdhy and Mujuthaba.
