Global luxury resort brand Atlantis is set to open a new property in Maldives in 2029.

The resort, Atlantis The Royal Maldives, is being developed on Vaarehdhoo in North Male' Atoll in collaboration with Khazna International and Asset Group, which operate luxury hotels and resorts worldwide.

The project spans two interconnected islands — one designed as a family resort and the other centred on a luxury concept.

Together, they will feature 270 rooms and 223 villas, along with 20 restaurants, spas, and both indoor and outdoor fitness centres.

The resort will also include two beach clubs and a 70,000 square metre water park with 15 rides.

The project places strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, incorporating coral farming, water recycling, and renewable energy systems to preserve the island’s natural beauty.

The resort is scheduled to open in 2029.
