Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and the Maldives National University (MNU) have signed an agreement to introduce the country’s first degree course in port management.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held today at MPL’s head office. Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Mueen signed on behalf of MPL, while Vice Chancellor Dr Aishath Shehnaz Adam signed on behalf of MNU.
Under the partnership, the two institutions will jointly offer a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Port Management, accredited by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
MPL’s Port Training Centre already runs several certificate-level programmes in port management for company employees and continues to expand education and training opportunities in the field.
