US-Bangla Airlines have begun operations at Velana International Airport's (VIA) new Terminal 1.
A special celebration was held yesterday to mark the occasion, with Airline Operators Committee Chairman Munaz Ali inaugurating the event.

US-Bangla Airlines Station Manager Zahidul Islam, and MACL seniors and officials officially opened the US-Bangla Airlines check-in counter during the ceremony. The first 108 passengers who traveled via the flight had been given gifts as well. Along with that, 176 passengers that flew to Maldives on flight BS337, the first flight from the airline, were given a warm welcome along with cultural activities.

US-Bangla Airlines is Bangladesh's biggest private airline, along with them having the largest fleet size. US-Bangla Airlines began flights to Maldives in 19th November 2021.
With US-Bangla Airlines beginning their operations in Terminal 1, this brings the total airlines in operation at the new terminal to 20.
