MACL begins preparations for peak season

MACL departments have held a meeting in order to begin preparations for the upcoming peak season.

MACL said the purpose of the meeting is to identify possible challenges and solutions that will ensure optimum running of peak season operations, along with ensuring inter-departmental aid runs smoothly. 

A large number of tourists visit Maldives from December to April, which is the peak season of tourism in Maldives.

MACL CCO Mohamed Mihad said that they are always at the ready to improve their services.

As per Mihad, MACL departments and employees are to work towards providing a service that is in line with or goes beyond the expectation of those who use MACL's services. He went on to say that the company's resources, employees and their frame of thinking need to change.

The airport experiences the most amount of traffic at year's end and when the country is in its northeast monsoon. Velana International Airport saw 7,558 flights operate at the airport during peak season last year.
