Bank of Maldives (BML) has completed the establishment of ATM services in
all inhabited islands of Lh. Atoll, with the launch of a self-service ATM in
Lh. Olhuvelifushi, as part of its "BML ATM mulhi Raaje ah" project.
The ceremony to introduce the ATM service in Olhuvelifushi was attended by
the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam, BML Chairperson
Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and other
senior officials.
BML CEO Shareef stated that with the installation of the ATM service in Lh.
Olhuvelifushi, the bank has achieved its goal of establishing an ATM service in
every inhabited island of that atoll.
"This is a very special achievement. With the launch of the ATM service
in Olhuvelifushi today, we have also reached our objective of establishing our
ATMs in every inhabited island from Haa Alifu Thuraakunu all the way to
Malé," he said.
BML stated that with a nationwide banking network including 42 branches, 193
self-service banking centers, 251 ATMs across 20 atolls, and the most modern
online banking services, the bank's goal is to provide assistance to
individuals, businesses, and the Maldives as a whole.
