Maldivian offers special fare to Cochin, Trivandrum

National airline, Maldivian, has introduced a special fare to Cochin and Trivandrum, India. 

Island Aviation, which operates Maldivian, stated that the special fares were introduced with the aim of building upon flights to other destinations in the region. As such, special flights on Maldivian's A320 have been planned to Cochin and Trivandrum. 

Regular flights to these destinations are also conducted on Maldivian's A320. The plane has the capacity to carry 152 passengers, with a baggage allowance of 20kg per passenger. The special fares now introduced apply to flights from Velana International Airport and Hanimaadhoo International Airport to Trivandrum. 

Fare prices are:

Cochin: USD 176 (MVR 2,714)

Trivandrum: USD 232 (MVR 3,577)

Trivandrum-Hanimaadhoo: USD 337 (MVR 5,197)

Maldivian also operates flights to several cities in China. The majority of the airline's flights are to domestic destinations. 

Maldivian currently has 26 planes in their fleet. This includes an Airbus A330, A320, 8 Dash planes, 5 ATRs, and 11 seaplanes.
