Consultant being sought to create Rasmale' Master Plan

The Finance Ministry has announced that they are looking for a consultant to draft up a detailed Master Plan for the design of Rasmale'.

As per the announcement, priority is to be given to ecological sustainability, economic importance and social inclusivity. The announcement also read that special consideration is to be taken regarding the development plan, with it being made under an environmentally friendly model. 

The ministry has requested a Terms of Reference to be submitted by interested parties. The announcement stated that a consultant will be chosen under the Quality Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method that is defined in the Procurement Procedures and Guidelines for SOEs. 

The ministry has requested interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest by 14th October, 2:00pm.

Around 100 hectares have been dredged in relation to the administration's biggest project to find a permanent solution to Male's housing issues. This is just 10 percent of the entire project. HDC has made it known that this is an area larger than half of Hulhumale' Phase 1.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced that 11,000 plots and more than 26,000 flats will be given out in Rasmale'. This is to accommodate a population larger than 240,000. Along with housing, work will be done regarding businesses, industrial and tourism development.
