Last night, a destination campaign was started by the name of "Experience Maldives". The campaign was created by BML and American Express with the aim to market Maldivian tourism to American Express card members.
BML stated that the campaign is being endorsed by the Tourism Ministry, Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) and the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM).
During the ceremony last night, Finance Minister Moosa Zameer said that the campaign gives them an opportunity to advertise not only luxury tourism but tourism in the islands as well.

"With this campaign, smaller tour operators will get the chance to increase their revenue," said the Finance Minister.
Zameer stated that they always work with stakeholders for the advancement of the tourism industry and that they will continue to do so.
The campaign will run for two years and will have offers from resorts, liveaboards and merchants catering to American Express card holders.

The Experience Maldives campaign ran in 2017, 2019 and 2023 as well. The previous campaigns provided American Express card holders with premium services, exclusive rates and complimentary services to round up their trip even further.
