National airline Maldivian has signed an interline agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines.

Parent company Island Aviation has said that passengers that fly to Maldives from Azerbaijan Airlines will have an even easier time traveling domestically in Maldives.

Under the strategic agreement, tourists from Azerbaijan and its surroundings will not have to wait too long to travel via Maldivian to one of Maldives' 17 destinations. They will be able to travel via a set schedule, making domestic travel even easier than before.

Island Aviation Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas stated that the combining of the Azerbaijan Airlines and Maldivian domestic operation services is a golden opportunity for them to further extend their services.

Maldivian has signed interline agreements with other international airlines in the past, such as the ongoing agreement with Emirates.
