Soneva leadership changes as US company takes over

The company made by combining Sonu Shivdasani and his wife's name Eva called Soneva Group has had its majority shares bought by US company KSL Capital Partners, with leadership changing hands as its main headquarters has now opened in Dubai.

KSL bought the shares in May, with Neil Gallagher being appointed as Soneva Group CEO.

As per Soneva Group, they decided to base their headquarters in Dubai due to it being a center of the business industry, along with making it easier to strengthen their relationships with industry partners.

Joanna Flint is a seasoned individual in the luxury hospitality and technology sectors. She has worked at high ranking positions at Google, Mandarin Oriental and Singapore Airlines. She is an individual with over 20 years of experience.

Soneva Group's new CFO Chris Whitehouse has worked at the Dot Group, Candy & Candy, and CPC in the past, and has experience in financial strategy, risk management, corporate financing, and asset management.

COO Abhishek Sharma has 25 years of luxury hospitality experience across Maldives, India and Egypt.
