Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded its services to cover the entire Vaavu atoll, launching an ATM on Rakeedhoo under its nationwide “BML ATMs across Maldives” initiative.
The service was inaugurated in the presence of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, cabinet ministers, BML chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and managing director Mohamed Shareef, and senior officials from the bank.
Shareef said ATM services had now been installed in all islands across 12 atolls.
“Each ATM increases financial participation within communities and opens the door to easier access to essential banking services,” he said.
As part of the project, new ATMs are also planned for Feeali in Faafu atoll and Billehfahi in Haa Dhaalu atoll.
BML currently operates 42 branches, 181 self-service banking centres, 225 ATMs, agent banking services and online banking facilities across 20 atolls.
