MPL signs with Alia Investment to open Yamaha Service Centre in Kulhudhuffushi

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has signed an agreement with Alia Investment to establish a Yamaha service center at the Kulhudhuffushi City Port.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at MPL headquarters, with MPL CEO Mohamed Rishwan signing on behalf of the company and Alau Ali, Managing Director of Alia Investment, signing on behalf of Alia.

Speaking at the event, MPL CEO Rishwan said the agreement also includes plans to enhance logistics and expand maritime connectivity, in line with the development of the Kulhudhuffushi dockyard. He added that MPL is committed to increasing revenue and improving services, noting growing demand for such services from different regions.

Alia Investment MD Alau Ali described the project as the start of a broader partnership between the two parties. He said Alia already operates service centers in various regions and looks forward to expanding these services in collaboration with MPL.

The Yamaha service center is expected to begin operations within six months.
