More than 450 to attend webinar held by Alibaba and Ministry

The webinar is being held to mark the introduction of Maldivians being able to open seller accounts via Ailbaba and will be a one-day event meant to disseminate information about open seller accounts.

Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has stated that more than 450 will be in attendance at the webinar for parties interested in online business, with Alibaba experts to attend as well.

Minister Saeed has stated today via X that various interested parties have registered, such as:

  1. Businessmen.
  2. Start-ups.
  3. Online platforms.
  4. Logistical service providers.
  5. Postal services.
  6. Freight companies.

The webinar is being held to mark the introduction of Maldivians being able to open seller accounts via Ailbaba. The webinar will be a one-day event and is meant to disseminate information about opening seller accounts. The webinar has been organized by the Economic Ministry, Alibaba and Business Center Corporation.

Minister Saeed has stated that the discussions held between Alibaba and the Economic Ministry is to further strengthen the connection between Maldives and China under the Free Trade Agreement.
