STO opens new pharmacy in phase 1

State Trading Organization (STO) has officially opened a new pharmacy in Hulhumalé, named "STO Pharmacy Central", with services beginning yesterday.

The pharmacy is located at the site of the former STO Smart Store, a development first announced by STO Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim during the company’s 2024 Annual General Meeting.

The new outlet aims to improve access to healthcare products and services for residents of Hulhumalé, particularly those living in Phase 1.

As with other STO pharmacies, STO Pharmacy Central offers a range of products including prescription medications, medical consumables, diapers, cosmetics, and nebulizers.

The pharmacy operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., providing extended service hours for customer convenience.

In addition to accepting cash and card payments, the pharmacy also supports Aasandha and other insurance plans, ensuring greater accessibility for a wider group of customers.
