Education is one of the most vital pillars on which a nation’s future is built. Ensuring inclusive education, especially for students with special needs, is a collective responsibility of society.

Bank of Maldives (BML) has consistently prioritized supporting education for students with special needs.

So far this year, BML has established Special Education Needs (SEN) classrooms in two schools: Salahuddin School in Hulhumale' and Hiriya School. These initiatives have significantly enhanced the learning environment for over 200 students.

A notable contribution from BML is the therapy room set up in 2023 at Imaduddin School. This facility, developed with the bank’s support, provides speech therapy, occupational therapy, sensory activities, and counseling services, offering crucial support for students in the school’s SEN classes.

Over the years, BML has donated essential equipment to SEN classes in 40 schools nationwide.

Additionally, the bank has supported the development of computer labs in schools across the atolls, helping to bridge the digital divide in education.

Education remains a key focus of BML’s community initiatives. Alongside this, the bank actively invests in sports and environmental projects. These efforts are vital to the holistic development of society.
