Names sent to Parliament for appointment of four members to MIRA Board

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has submitted the names for four members to the board of the tax authority, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

According to the letter sent to the Parliament today, Mohamed Imthinan Saudulla, Ismail Hamdhoon, Aishath Shazra and Idham Hussain top the list.

The term of four members of the MIRA board expires on 31st of this month. 14 candidates applied for the board of IRA under the Administrative Taxation Act.

Their names are sent to the House in the order of his priority.

The names have been referred to the Economic Committee of the Parliament for consideration.

There are seven members on the board. The board is currently chaired by Deputy Minister of Finance Ahmed Saeed Musthafa.
