Dhiraagu offers two speedboats as prizes this year

Dhiraagu's current promotion has seen teasers featuring two ice-creams, two cakes and two cats, leading up to a major announcement today.

Dhiraagu announced that they will be giving out two speedboats in a promotion. The announcement was made in a press conference that was hosted at their head office. While registration has begun today, the first speedboat of the promotion will be given out on January 2026, with the second one being given out on July 2026.

Dhiraagu Director, Brand Marketing and Communication Mohamed Mirshan Hassan stated that last year's speed boat promotion had the most registrations for a promotion to date, and that this year they have decided to pick two winners who will win a speedboat each.

The speedboats have been identified as two Yamaha Canary 28's, each sporting a 250 horsepower engine. Each speedboat is worth MVR 1.1 million. Interested individuals can head over to Dhiraagu's "Win a boat" portal to enroll.

Customer Value Manager, Broadband and Devices Ahmed Ishan has stated the following customers can register for the promotion:

- Customers that have a mobile prepaid package worth more than MVR 450

- Customers that have a fixed broadband package above 40M

- Customer that have broadband and 5G turbo plans over MVR 540

Customers who have recently joined Dhiraagu can also participate in the promotion, provided they take one of the aforementioned packages.

Ishan stated that while the promotion is set to end in March 2026, customer numbers are set to be enrolled four times in the promotion by September 2025.

If a customer does not meet the requirements for the promotion, their package can be upgraded via the "Win a boat" portal.

This is Dhiraagu's third year hosting a promotion with a sizeable prize. Their 2023 promotion had a Tesla car as a prize, with the 2024 prize being a Magellan 32 speedboat.
