Umrah pilgrims fly to Jeddah on Maldivian

Maldives national airline Maldivian has three scheduled flights this month carrying Umrah pilgrims to Jeddah.

Maldivian said that the first batch of pilgrims have flown to Jeddah today on a Maldivian flight. Maldivian said that the flight was carrying passengers travelling through the Musafir Hajj and Umrah Group.

The remaining two flights will be carrying pilgrims travelling with the Hajj Corporation, the airline said.

Maldivian Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas said that the airline is honoured to fly Maldivians travelling for Umrah pilgrimage. He highlighted that this is the first time that the airline is carrying Umrah pilgrims and said that it falls within efforts to expand the airline's services.

This month, 750 passengers will be flying to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage on Maldivian flights.

Maldivian also conducted flights to Saudi Arabia carrying passengers who went on the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
