Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has relaunched its mobile app, introducing upgraded features and expanded services.
The upgraded app was launched in a special ceremony held at MWSC today by the company's Chairperson Shamhooza Ahmed and Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed.
Speaking at the ceremony, Matheen said that the relaunching of the upgraded app is a significant step forward in the company's aim to adopt modern technology and offer eco-friendly services. He said that this falls under the first phase of digitalization program of the company under the Maldives 2.0 vision.
The new upgrade will offer added convenience to customers, he said, with services now more efficient and easy to access.
Customers can now apply for water and sewerage services directly through MWSC’s upgraded mobile app, which also allows them to track the status of their requests, settle bills, and use the new ‘multipay’ feature to pay for multiple services at once.
Customers can also request for bills to be generated at any point in the month through uploading meter readings and photo. Customers who use smart meters can also monitor usage and check bill amounts daily, or check updated bill amounts at any time. A one-year account statement can also be generated for smart meters, as well as an estimated bill amount per month.
Customers can log in to the app through using their eFaas accounts, which will then allow them to see details of all meters registered in their names.
The app can be downloaded via Google Play Store and App Store. If further assistance is needed in using the new app, customers can reach out to the company via their website or hotline 105.
