National airline Maldivian's inaugural flight to Shenzhen city in China is scheduled for tonight.
Tonight's flight is from Male' to Shenzhen, with the return flight from Shenzhen to Male' scheduled for Wednesday, the airline said.
The flights will be held weekly during the seasonal flights scheduled until August 21. This flight has been introduced due to high demand from the city, they said.
Maldivian will be using an A320 plane for these flights.
Maldivian is also operating flights to other destinations in China: Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai. Flights to these three cities are conducted on Maldivian's first wide body aircraft, A330.
Maldivian's fleet currently has 25 planes. The airline now flies to 29 destinations.
