MWSC establishes water and sewerage services in Kendhoo

MWSC has completed and commissioned water and sewerage services in Baa atoll Kendhoo.

In commissioning the services, Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, as well as Fenaka officials, collaborated with MWSC.

MWSC asserted that this service will provide a sewerage system and clean drinking water for the residents of Kendhoo.

Under this project, MWSC constructed a facility building to place the water plant, laid the main network for water supply and set up connections to the service in residences. To produce water, a water plant was placed, a borehole drilled, and a reject line laid. A water storage tank was also placed on the island.

For the sewerage system, MWSC laid the sewerage main network and pumping line, established a pumping station, and laid a sea outflow system. They also worked on establishing junctions at residences, as well as laying the connection to the sewerage system.

MWSC also provided vehicles necessary for the maintenance of the sewerage system, and equipment needed for water testing.

This was an MVR 56 million project awarded to MWSC by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure.
