Bank of Maldives (BML) held its Best Employees of the Year awards ceremony last night at Crossroads, recognizing outstanding staff and teams across the organization.
Director of Financial Transactions Huzaat Ali was named Employee of the Year, the bank’s most prestigious annual award. The CEO Award for Outstanding Achievements went to Head of Customer Experience Hussain Rasheed and Head of Premium Banking Abdulla Sobah, while the Leadership Excellence Award was presented to Mohamed Savi, in charge of the Digital Technology Division.

Awards were also given in categories including Best Divisional Employee, Emerging Talent, Customer Service Excellence, Outstanding Team Excellence, and Innovation Catalyst.
Speaking at the ceremony, BML CEO and managing director Mohamed Shareef credited the bank’s success to its staff.
He said the past year had seen significant investment in employee development, including the introduction of professional training programmes, flexible working arrangements and initiatives aimed at fostering a positive workplace culture.

"Our changes reflect the value we place on creating an environment where our people can thrive," Shareef said.
BML hosts the awards ceremony annually to recognize staff achievements.
