The state-funded insurance scheme, Aasandha, recorded an expenditure of MVR 2.14 billion in 2024, according to statistics released by the Finance Ministry.
This figure exceeds the allocated budget of MVR 1.9 billion by seven percent. It also reflects a two percent increase in spending compared to 2023, when Aasandha expenditure stood at MVR 2.11 billion.
