Dhiraagu has signed a partnership agreement to support the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 'Restore Rasfari' initiative.

The project is part of EPA's efforts to restore the damage caused to Rasfari reef in 2021 when a cargo boat capsized.

Dhiraagu said that it provided diving kits to both the EPA restoration teams and those involved in the reef restoration efforts.

Under EPA's initiative, corals will be planted in the reef over a period of five years, and the corals cultivated in nurseries will be reintegrated into the reef. Dhiraagu's team played an active role in the recent EPA event focused on coral planting.

According to Dhiraagu, the reef in the 'Rasfari Marine Protected Area' site is home to a large number of species, and therefore, the restoration of the reef is a major step towards biodiversity conservation.

Managing Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, Mirshan Hassan said that supporting environmental protection projects aligns with the company's corporate social responsibility.

Director General of EPA, Ibrahim Naeem emphasized the necessity of corporate support for projects like 'Restore Rasfari' and expressed the commitment to collaborating with Dhiraagu for the success of the project.
